ABOUT THE ROLE

Cleaner Driver / Hygiene Technician - North & West

In this role most of your day will be spent going from customer to customer in your van, to provide our range of hygiene products and services.

This role is offered as a full time, permanent position, working from Monday to Friday, with no weekends or public holidays.

You will be provided with a uniform, company phone and your own commercial van to keep at home.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- First and foremost, regularly communicating with your team and management to understand your work and get the job done right;
- Follow a service schedule and instructions for each client site, making sure the customers always receive their scheduled products and services;
- Changing over and disinfecting Sanitary and Nappy Bins;
- Safely handling waste removal, transfer to/from vehicle;
- Refilling soap dispensers;
- Maintaining air fresheners, urinal products, bathroom sanitisers, paper consumables;
- Ensure all products are working and clean before signing off the job, such as checking batteries and motors in automatic bins;
- Loading and unloading vehicles with servicing requirements at base;
- Some descaling of urinals may be required (with bonus) occasionally;




- Help out with other tasks at our base or in support of other team members;
- Installation of products and services (as appropriate to skills and experience);
- Using web-based systems on a mobile phone for instructions, recording and reporting as you go;
- Maintain health and safety procedures and ensure adherence at all times;
- Ensure your service vehicle is maintained, safe and clean for use.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a team player with a great attitude, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and relevant work skills.

Whilst direct experience as a field technician or hygiene services is not essential, we would consider previous experience in these fields as a solid base to hit the ground running. We'd also welcome experienced cleaners looking for a new prospect, better conditions and to get out on the road.

The specific skills and attributes we are looking for are:

- Excellent customer service manner and skills;
- Comfortable with entering and servicing hygiene products in both male and female toilets;
- Physical fitness and motivated towards being active;
- Excellent listening and communication skills;
- Great Attention to detail and can follow verbal and written instructions;
- Ability to work independently and ask for help when you don’t know the answer;
- You're the sort of person who takes personal responsibility for doing a good job;
- A secure and sensible driver with a clean driving record and valid driver’s license;
- Open and willing to learn our systems and procedures;
- Comfortable using mobile phone, web-based apps etc;
- Geographical knowledge of Melbourne and capable of using Google Maps for directions;
- Have or will have prior to starting, Working With Children credentials and a Criminal History check.
