Team Leader – Supported Independent Living

We're looking for an experienced, hands on Team Leader to guide and support a team of support workers across our SIL homes on a casual basis. You'll be the on-the-ground point of contact for your team, ensuring participants receive consistent, high quality, person centred support, while helping us meet the requirements of the new NDIS SIL Practice Standards.

This is a flexible, casual role suited to someone who thrives on variable shifts and wants genuine input into how a home runs day to day.

You'll be the on-the-ground point of contact for your team, ensuring participants receive consistent, high quality, person centred support, while helping us meet the requirements of the recent NDIS SIL Practice Standards.

Key responsibilities

- Lead, roster, and support a team of support workers across one or more SIL homes

- Model and coach person-centred, supported decision-making practice in daily support

- Monitor and maintain participant support plans, progress notes, and shift handovers

- Support incident, complaint,



and risk management processes for your home(s)

- Ensure Worker Screening Checks, training, and induction records stay current for your team

- Step in on shift when needed to cover gaps or support complex situations

- Liaise with families, support coordinators, and other stakeholders

- Champion participant choice, dignity of risk, and safeguarding in everyday practice

About you

- Proven experience in disability support, with prior experience leading or supervising a team

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field (or working towards)

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

- Current First Aid and CPR certificate

- Valid Victorian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

- Strong understanding of person-centred practice, supported decision-making, and dignity of risk

- Excellent communication skills and sound judgement under pressure

- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including some evenings, weekends, or on-call cover
