Full Time Transcriber/Monitor - In office - Canberra CBD

Epiq, Australia's premium supplier of transcription services, has offices across Australia providing court reporting, e-discovery, e-trials, and transcription servicesfor government agencies, law firms and corporates.

The Role

We are seeking a full time Transcriber/Monitor to work in our Canberra office in the CBD. Prior experience is not required as comprehensive training will be provided

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be trained in transcription and court monitoring. The primary focus of this role is transcription with support provided to the monitoring team as required. Transcribers are responsible for accurate and timely production of transcript in various styles and formats, utilising a variety of audio types and production and research tools. Court monitoring duties involve recording proceedings and producing annotations or logs of those proceedings to aid in the process of accurate transcription.

About you

You probably love to read.



You have a commendable vocabulary and would love to expand it with some niche legal terminology. You type with ease and have excellent spelling and grammar. You're also comfortable with technology.

The ideal candidate will have:

Availability to work fulltime on-site 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Typing speed of 70 wpm +

Excellent English vocabulary and grammar

Ability to use computers, and proficiency in MS Word

Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Willingness to obtain any background checks including police checks and a baseline clearance (paid for by Epiq)
