The Opportunity

Vertu Group is continuing to grow, with our Construction Equipment Division continuing to expand

n

As one of the fastest-growing SANY construction equipment distributors in the region, Vertu has built a

solid and expanding customer base across civil construction, earthmoving, infrastructure, landscaping and

n

general construction.

n

We are looking for a Field Service Technicianto join our Melbourne team. This is a varied and challenging role which will have responsibility for continuing our robust aftersales service and technical support to a variety of machine classes across our rapidly growing client base.

n

Main Functions of the position:

n

Service Support:

n

n
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a wide range of construction equipment (excavators, rollers, loaders etc)
n
- Conduct inspections and diagnose mechanical / hydraulic and electrical issues
n
- Conduct repairs efficiently, minimising any downtime for our customers
n
- Travel to sites to complete repairs and/or breakdown support, including T1, Quarry and Mine sites
n
- Perform emergency call outs and ensure timely resolution
n

Customer Support & Relationships:

n

n
- Act as the "face" of the company in the field,



building strong relationships with various stakeholders (operators, site managers, customers)
n
- Identify opportunities for further service, parts or machinery sales and report this back to the business
n

n

Administration and Reporting

n

n
- Complete service job cards, timesheets
n
- Document all repairs and maintenance as per SANY warranty guidelines
n

n

Our requirements:

n

n
- Good overall knowledge with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical who can generally work on all types of machinery
n
- Relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience in construction earthmoving equipment
n
- Autonomous self-starter who can get the job done without necessarily a clear path in front of them
n
- Good written and verbal communication skills
n
- Display a positive and enthusiastic 'can do' attitude
n
- Build rapport with clients and assist in growing the SANY brand in Australia.
n
- Able to work flexible hours when/as required to meet client expectations
n
