Key Responsibilities
- Carryoutabrasiveblastingandsurfacepreparationtospecifiedstandards
- Prepareindustrialsurfacesbeforeprotectivecoatingapplication
- Applyepoxy,urethaneandotherindustrialprotectivecoatingsystems
- Operateblastpots,compressors,sprayequipmentandrelatedtools
- Monitorcoatingapplicationtoensureconsistentfinishandquality
- Inspectpreparedsurfacesandcompletedcoatings
- Clean,maintainandsafelyoperateblastingandpaintingequipment
- Completeassignedprojectsefficientlyandwithinrequiredtimeframes
- WorksafelyinaccordancewithworkplaceproceduresandAustralianStandards
- Identifyandreportequipment,safetyorqualityissues
- Maintainacleanandorganisedworkarea
- Workeffectivelywithsupervisors,tradespeopleandotherteammembers
- Workoccasionalnightsandweekendswhenrequired,withpenaltyratesapplicable

- Minimum2yearsofpracticalabrasiveblastingexperience
- Demonstratedexperienceinindustrialblastingandprotectivecoatings
- Previousexperienceapplyingindustrialpaintandcoatingsystems
- Soundknowledgeofsurfacepreparationmethodsandcoatingtechniques
- Strongcommitmenttoworkplacehealthandsafety
- Excellentattentiontodetailandqualityworkmanship
- Physicallycapableofperformingdemandingindustrialwork
- Reliable,hardworkingandabletomeetprojectdeadlines
- Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam
- CertificateIIIinSurfacePreparationandCoatingApplicationishighlyregarded
