The Wine Terrace is a high-energy, guest-facing dining space focused on seasonal produce, estate wines, and relaxed but refined service.

We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef ready to step up, lead with confidence, and grow within a premium culinary environment.

The Role

As Junior Sous Chef at the Wine Terrace, you will be delivering consistent, high-quality food in a fast-paced, guest-driven setting.

You will play a key role in daily service execution, team leadership, and maintaining strong kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily kitchen operations and service delivery

Assist in leading and mentoring kitchen team members

Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and timing

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards (HACCP)

Assist with prep, ordering, and stock control

Work closely with FOH to ensure smooth service flow

Contribute to menu execution and seasonal changes

Help drive a positive, calm,



and disciplined kitchen culture

About You

Strong understanding of modern Australian cuisine and seasonal produce

Confident in leading sections during service

Calm under pressure with excellent time management

Strong communication, teamwork and management skills

Passion for hospitality and high standards

Eagerness to grow into a Sous Chef or leadership role
