This role is available as permanent full-time, part-time or casual. There is also an opportunity for ongoing block bookings on a contract basis, running into the Recent Year - no work through Christmas.

Block Booking / Contract Breakdown

n

n
- Rate: up to $70 per hour, depending on experience
n
- Engagement type: ongoing block bookings running into the New Year, suited to nurses wanting an extended contract with consistent hours
n
- Accommodation: not provided by the hospital. Local options are available for candidates who are not local or happy to self-arrange
n
- Suited to nurses who are local, travelling with their own accommodation setup, or have family/friends in the area

About the role:

n

Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Our client is looking to employ an Anaesthetic Nurse for their Operating Suite. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities:

n

n
- Deliver evidence-based anaesthetic nursing care, supporting the anaesthetist throughout each case
n
- Prepare and check anaesthetic equipment,



drugs and monitoring prior to procedures
n
- Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated theatre lists
n
- Ensure patient and staff safety throughout the anaesthetic and surgical process
n
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs), in the delivery of patient care
n
- Support patients and their families through their surgical and recovery journey
n

- Current registration with AHPRA

- Anaesthetic nursing experience, or relevant perioperative experience with willingness to develop in the anaesthetic role

- Commitment to quality patient care
