Job Description

Irizar Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Auto Electrician to join our high performing production team on a full-time basis at our modern, purpose-built facility in Pakenham. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll play a key role in the installation, testing, diagnosis and commissioning of electrical and electronic systems across our high-floor buses and luxury coaches, ensuring all work meets Irizar's high quality and safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

n

- Carrying out electrical and electronic work during vehicle production and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)
n
- Inspecting vehicles, checking quality and completing adjustments or repairs where required
n
- Following job instructions, technical specifications and quality standards
n
- Running wiring harnesses and crimping electrical connectors
n
- Installing electrical and electronic systems and components into buses and coaches
n
- Installing equipment including school lights, destination panels, cameras, inverters, microphones and internal and external lighting
n
- Adjusting and checking vehicle headlights and associated electrical equipment
n
- Working with Multiplex CAN system
n
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and electronic faultsUpdating vehicle and component firmware
n
- Carrying out user and workshop-level programming
n
- Installing, setting up and programming destination display panels
n
- Assisting and providing technical guidance to mechanics and trade assistants where required
n
- Ensuring all work meets Irizar's quality and safety standards
n




- Carrying out other duties relevant to the role as reasonably required
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Relevant Auto Electrical trade qualification or trade certificate
n
- Previous experience working as an Auto Electrician
n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions
n
- Valuable computer skills and confidence working with electronic diagnostic systems
n
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices in a workshop environment
n
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
n
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
n
