Marquee and Event Setup Supervisor or Leading Hand

Elderberry Event Hire is looking for a motivated Marquee & Event Setup Supervisor / Leading Hand to join our growing team in Geelong.

n

You'll work alongside our crew setting up and packing down events, while helping keep the team organised and the job moving.

n

Marquee or event experience will be highly regarded, but isn't essential. If you're practical, a strong worker and have experience in construction, landscaping, trades, logistics or another hands-on industry, we're happy to provide training for the right person.

n

It's a hands-on role first and foremost, with the opportunity to take the lead on more jobs as your experience and confidence grow.

What you'll be doing

n

Setting up and dismantling marquees and event flooring

n

Installing lighting, furniture and event equipment to site plans, using hand and power tools as required

n

Helping organise the crew and day's workload

n

Loading, unloading and storing equipment

n





Working to OHS standards and venue-specific requirements

n

Keeping an eye on quality, presentation and timelines

n

Working with clients and venues and following site plans

n

About you

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

Enjoys practical, hands-on work and is able to lift heavy equipment

n

Is reliable and has a good work ethic

n

Works well as part of a team

n

Can think on their feet and solve problems

n

Is willing to learn and take on more responsibility over time

n

Has the potential to lead by example

n

A current driver's licence is essential.

n

Experience with trailers, trucks, forklifts, machinery, power tools or event equipment would be a bonus.

n

Experience is important to us, but the right person is more important than having the perfect résumé.
