The Opportunity

n

Are you Security Officer who has a keen eye for the details? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Security Officer to join our high-performing team at Lake Vermont Mine near Dysart.

n

As a key member of the Security team, you will be responsible for ensuring our security requirements are met, in addition to conducting drug and alcohol testing onsite, and various other duties.

n

Roster: 7/7 Rotating Day/Night roster - DIDO or BIBO available | Location: Lake Vermont| Employment Type Permanent Full Time

n

As a Security Officer at Lake Vermont, you will:

n

n
- Control our security requirements onsite, including conducting vehicle audits.
n
- Monitor vehicles and equipment entering and exiting site.
n
- Conduct random drug and alcohol testing onsite (training provided)
n
- Monitor site security cameras and CCTV for potential incidents and take corrective action.
n
- Report fatigue management breaches to appropriate managers and our Health and Safety Training Team
n
- Conduct general administration for the Health, Safety and Training Team as required
n
- Perform any assigned/ad-hoc tasks as required to support other departments onsite.

About you:

n

n
- Hold a Certificate II or III in Security Operations
n
- Possess intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
n




- Current QLD Security Guard Licence - Class 1 (Monitoring & Unarmed)
n
- Current QLD C Class Licence (Open)
n
