Lantrak is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Fleet team.

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing Lantrak's fleet of earthmoving equipment, company-owned heavy vehicles, light vehicles and ancillary equipment, including generators, lighting towers and other support assets.
n
This role will involve both workshop and field service work, supporting operations across a range of sites. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong fault-finding skills, and is happy to assist wherever needed. Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance across Lantrak's fleet of earthmoving equipment, heavy vehicles, light vehicles and ancillary equipment
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, transmission and engine faults
n
- Carry out breakdown repairs in both workshop and field environments
n
- Complete pre-delivery inspections on new plant and equipment
n
- Identify maintenance requirements and recommend corrective actions before failures occur
n
- Accurately record maintenance activities and repairs using Lantrak's fleet management systems
n
- Complete inspection reports and maintenance documentation
n
- Liaise with operators, supervisors and the Fleet team to maximise equipment availability
n
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve fleet performance and maintenance processes
n

About You
n

- Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience working on heavy diesel equipment
n
- Experience working on earthmoving equipment
n
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
n
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and attention to detail
n
- Positive attitude with a willingness to assist wherever required
n
