The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Technician who takes genuine pride in their trade and wants to work for a company where good technicians are recognised, trusted, and given the opportunity to do their best work.

Based in Chermside, Brisbane, this is a full-time position with an established and growing HVAC & R business delivering commercial service, maintenance, and project work across Queensland, together with selected domestic work.

n

Your experience will be valued. Your technical judgement will matter. And you'll be given the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial HVAC & R equipment and projects, including fit-outs, design & construct projects, service, maintenance, fault finding, and equipment installations.

You'll work alongside experienced technicians, Project Managers and Building Supervisors, with the support of a professional team that understands what is required to deliver quality work in the real world.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair a broad range of commercial HVAC & R equipment and systems.
n
- Undertake preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to keep equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
n
- Install HVAC & R equipment, components, and associated systems across commercial projects.
n
- Work across commercial fit outs, design & construct projects, and service environments.
n
- Investigate faults, identify root causes, and implement practical, lasting solutions.
n




- Liaise directly with clients, Building Supervisors, Project Managers and other stakeholders.
n
- Provide professional technical advice and communicate issues and solutions clearly.
n
- Complete accurate service reports, job records, and documentation.
n
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with Australian Standards, legislation, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures.
n
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and professional workmanship.
n
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver projects and service requirements efficiently.
n
- Support and mentor other technicians where required, helping to build capability and technical confidence across the team.

Requirements

Ideally, You Will Have

n

n
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent.
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an HVAC & R Technician.
n
- Strong commercial HVAC & R experience.
n
- Experience with commercial fit outs and/or design & construct projects.
n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
n
- Broad practical knowledge across commercial HVAC & R equipment and systems.
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
n
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
n
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic.
n
- A genuine commitment to safety and quality.
n
- The confidence and willingness to mentor less experienced technicians.
n
- Current Australian driver's licence.
n
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence.
n
- Current White Card.
n
- Current EWP licence.
n
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency, where required.
n
