CAREWELL DIAGNOSTIX is seeking an experienced Radiology Receptionist to join our growing diagnostic imaging team in a permanent full-time position across our locations in Tarneit, Hoppers Crossing and Werribee, Victoria .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced medical or radiology receptionist who enjoys working in a busy clinical workplace and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient service.
Our clinics operate Monday to Sunday, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm , and the successful candidate will work their full-time hours across a rotating roster within these operating hours.
Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends is required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly, professional and compassionate manner
- Scheduling, confirming and managing patient appointments
- Managing incoming telephone enquiries efficiently and with empathy
- Registering patients and maintaining accurate patient records
- Understanding radiology referrals and assisting with appropriate appointment bookings
- Managing patient billing and general reception enquiries
- Supporting efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
- Communicating effectively with radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and referring practices
- Providing general administrative support to the clinical team
- Maintaining accurate data entry and patient confidentiality
- Following relevant privacy, health, safety and clinical practice policies
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy radiology environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous radiology reception experience is needed
- Alternatively, strong experience as a Medical Receptionist within a busy healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A warm, friendly and empathetic approach to patient care
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Confidence managing busy phones, appointments and front-desk responsibilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy with patient information
- Experience using medical practice management or radiology software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Medicare processes highly regarded
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Flexibility to work across a Monday–Sunday roster, including weekends
