Plascorp is one of Australia's leading privately-owned Manufacturing and Distribution companies. We specialise in Industrial Ducting, Mine Ventilation, PVC Pipe and Steel reinforcing solutions.

Our manufacturing team operates continuously, twenty-four hours a day, from Monday to Friday. We currently have one vacancy available for the morning shift, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter & Turner to join our maintenance team. In this hands-on role, you will play a critical part in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing operational efficiency across our manufacturing operations.

n

Working alongside production and maintenance personnel, you will deliver preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, equipment rebuilds, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

n

Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment.

n

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimise downtime and maintain production performance.

n

Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

n

Conduct inspections, repairs, refurbishments, and equipment rebuilds.

n

Support maintenance planning, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.

n

Monitor and progress planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.

n

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance.

n

Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

About You

n

You are a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter & Turner with a proactive approach to maintenance and a passion for improving equipment performance. You enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively, and contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

You Will Have

n

Trade qualifications as a Fitter & Turner.

n

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy maintenance environment.

n

Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

n

A proactive approach to improving equipment reliability and plant performance.

n

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

n

Desirable Qualifications and Licences

n

While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:

n

Working at Heights Certificate.

n

Overhead Crane Licence.

n

Competitive Manufacturing Certificate IV.

n

Restricted Electrical Licence.
