Aurizon is looking for safety-focused, hands-on operators to join our growing Gladstone Port Services team on a casual basis. If you have a current HC licence, forklift experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced operational workplace, this could be a great opportunity to step into a varied role with one of Australia's leading rail freight operators.

About the role

n

As a Multi Skilled Equipment Operator, you'll support safe and efficient port operations by moving freight, operating equipment and assisting with loading and unloading activities as required.

n

n
- Driving heavy vehicle single to multi combinations to transport containerised freight.
n




- Operating forklifts to safely load and unload materials and goods.
n
- Supporting day‐to‐day operational requirements across Aurizon's Bulk operations.
n
- Completing pre‐starts, defect reports and other required paperwork accurately.
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- A strong commitment to safety - always.
n
- Current HC driver's licence and a safe driving record.
n
- Current heavy forklift licence.
n
- Confidence completing pre‐starts, defect reports and other operational paperwork.
n
- Mechanical aptitude and a practical, can‐do attitude.
n
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
n
- Willingness to complete driving history, police and background checks.
n

Highly desirable, but not essential

n

- Reach Stacker ticket and experience.
n

n

This is a casual role with variable shifts of up to 12 hours, including weekends. It's a great fit for someone looking to supplement your income, take on flexible work, or stay active in a practical port‐based role.
