We're looking for an experienced and motivated Acting Housekeeping Manager / Senior Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping operation at Mount Buller.

n

This is a hands‐on leadership role with responsibility for coordinating a team of up to 40 staff during winter, before transitioning to a smaller team and greater operational responsibility during summer.

n

The Buller Housekeeping Team services two hotels, more than 80 privately owned apartments, as well as staff accommodation, public venues and BSL‐owned offices and facilities.

About the Role

n

Winter – Peak Season

n

n
- Lead and coordinate a housekeeping team of up to 40 staff
n
- Manage daily work allocations, rosters and operational priorities
n
- Coordinate cleaning around guest arrivals, departures and high turnover
n
- Conduct inspections and maintain consistently high standards
n
- Train, coach and support team members
n
- Work closely with Front Office, Hotel Management and other departments
n
- Remain hands‐on and assist with cleaning when required
n

Green Season – Off-Peak Season

n

n
- Lead a smaller team of approximately 3–4 staff
n
- Undertake deep cleaning and detailed property maintenance
n
- Coordinate seasonal shutdown and reopening cleans
n
- Manage stocktaking, ordering and operational preparation
n
- Prepare accommodation and facilities for the upcoming winter season
n

n

This is a varied role requiring someone who can confidently lead a team, make decisions, manage competing priorities and get hands‐on when needed.

About You

n

Essential:

n

n
- Previous supervision or team leadership experience
n
- Strong organisation,



communication and time‐management skills
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced and changing environment
n
- Full Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights
n
- Flexibility to work early/late shifts and participate in an on‐call roster
n
- Ability to live on Mount Buller throughout winter and summer
n
- Physically capable of performing hands‐on housekeeping duties
n

Desirable:

n

n
- Housekeeping, commercial cleaning, hotel, resort or hospitality experience
n
- Experience leading larger teams
n
- Rostering, stock control or inventory experience
n

Important Information

This is a live‐in position. The successful applicant must reside on Mount Buller throughout both winter and summer.

Working Holiday Visa holders will not be considered.
n The role involves physically demanding housekeeping duties, early/late shifts and participation in an on‐call roster.
