Full-time Chef required for Phoenix Food and Coffee at 16 Service Street, Bairnsdale, VIC 3875.

Phoenix Food and Coffee is currently seeking a qualified full-time chef to join our team at 16 Service Street, Bairnsdale, VIC 3875. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, passionate and experienced in Contemporary Australian Cuisine.

The job description for a chef is as follows, and it is not an exhaustive list:

- Menu planning, estimating food and labourcosts.
- Preparing and cooking menu items.
- Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff.
- Adhering to, explaining, and enforcing hygiene regulations.
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.




- Delegation of tasks to other team members.
- Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.
- Monitor food stock and place orders.

Requirements:

- Qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the commercial kitchen
- Flexible availability
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
- Understanding of OH&S; and food hygiene requirements
- Experienced in Australian cuisine.

This position is full-time (38 hours per week).

Salary per year - $79,000 – 82,000 plus Super
