About you

n

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Orthoptist to join our collaborative team at Eye & Laser Centre Gold Coast on a full-time basis. If you are ready to make a real difference in patient care while working alongside leaders in the field, this is your chance!

Regular work hours are dependent on the Ophthalmologist's schedules but are routinely Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.

Key responsibilities

n

You will play a key role in delivering first-class clinical care, supporting our doctors, and ensuring seamless clinic operations. Your day-to-day will include:

n

- Patient consultations and assessments
n
- Operating advanced diagnostic tools (IOL Master 700, OCT, Pentacam, Visual Field, etc.)
n
- Leading dry eye and refractive clinics
n
- Assisting with in-clinic minor procedures (retinal and oculoplastic)
n
- Surgical planning and lens calculations
n
- Pre and post operative patient management
n
- Clinical audits and involvement in research
n
- Sterilisation protocols and administration tasks
n

About you

n

n
- Qualified Orthoptist
n
- Experience in a multidisciplinary or ophthalmic practice (desirable)
n
- Genie or Xestro software experience (preferred but not essential)
n
- A proactive mindset and exceptional organisational skills
n
- A genuine passion for patient care
n
- Professional, team-focused, and great with people
n
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
