An excellent permanent opportunity is available for an experienced aged care professional to join a well-established provider in a key Quality & Education role based in Doncaster.

n

Working across residential aged care and community services, this position will play an important role in strengthening quality systems, supporting accreditation readiness and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

n

Reporting to the Executive Director - Quality, Risk & Clinical Governance, you will work closely with operational and clinical leaders, supporting teams to translate quality, compliance and clinical governance requirements into everyday practice.

Quality & Education Officer - Aged Care

n

The role

n

As Quality & Education Officer, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Supporting ongoing compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant regulatory requirements
n
- Coordinating accreditation preparation, internal self‐assessments and audit readiness
n
- Developing and maintaining annual audit schedules across clinical and operational areas
n
- Conducting audits and analysing quality data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
n
- Monitoring incidents, complaints, SIRS, restrictive practices and safeguarding matters
n
- Supporting investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
n
- Monitoring Continuous Quality Improvement plans and following up identified actions
n
- Providing quality and risk reporting, analysis and recommendations to management
n
- Reviewing and maintaining clinical, quality and compliance policies and procedures
n
- Supporting effective document control and governance processes
n
- Developing and facilitating staff education relating to quality, compliance, clinical governance, policy changes and identified learning needs
n




- Working collaboratively with residential and community teams to build capability and promote a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement
n

About you

n

To be successful, you will bring:

n

n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Health Administration, Quality Management or a related discipline
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Previous experience in a quality, compliance or clinical leadership position within aged care
n
- Strong practical knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory workplace
n
- Experience with clinical auditing, accreditation preparation and continuous improvement
n
- Experience maintaining clinical policies, procedures and document control
n
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality, incident and audit data
n
- Excellent written communication and report‐writing skills
n
- The confidence to educate, coach and positively influence staff and managers across multidisciplinary teams
n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n

A Graduate Certificate in Quality Auditing will be highly regarded, along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or progress towards this qualification.
