The Head of Department - Mathematics role is suited to an accomplished leader with strong disciplinary expertise who can collaboratively lead the faculty, set high expectations for staff and students, and drive innovative,



inquiry-based teaching and learning aligned with the school's strategic priorities. Applications are invited from suitably qualified educators who can inspire the next generation of scientific thinkers and leaders.

As Head Of Department - Mathematics, You Will

- Provide curriculum leadership in Individuals and Society in line with QASMT's vision and the Department of Education's strategic priorities.
n
- Lead the department in fostering innovation, inquiry, and academic excellence across the IB MYP and DP.
n
- Work collaboratively with and support other Heads of Department to shape and implement strategic planning and foster a positive collegial culture within and across the three Individuals and Society departments.
n
- Develop, implement, and review teaching and learning programs that result in exceptional outcomes for highly capable learners.
n
- Manage and optimise human, financial, and curriculum resources within the mathematics faculty.
n
- Promote a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and high expectations among staff.
n
- Nurture positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader scientific and education community.
n
- Ensure departmental practice reflects socially just and inclusive approaches, in alignment with school and DoE policy.
