n Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Elsternwick, VIC.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your automotive career in a professional workshop environment, working alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

n

You'll gain practical experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.

n

No previous automotive experience is required. If you have a genuine passion for cars, enjoy working with your hands and are eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, you'll learn how to:

- Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
n
- Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical faults.
n
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues.
n
- Service and repair braking systems.
n
- Work on steering and suspension systems.
n
- Assist with engine servicing and mechanical repairs.
n
- Maintain and repair cooling systems.
n
- Work with vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
n
- Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
n
- Complete safety and vehicle inspections.
n
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
n
- Maintain a clean, protected and organised workshop.
n
- Develop your understanding of different vehicle makes, models and systems.

No experience? No problem. Previous automotive experience or a Certificate II is not required. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, reliability and genuine motivation to build a career in the automotive industry.
