About the role

We are seeking a dedicated 3PL Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor for our established 3pl warehouse site. You are a motivated and highly organised individual who will be pivotal in pro-actively managing customers and overseeing the warehouse team, site and increasing 3pl customer needs.

The role

n

This role ensures operational team delivery in the warehouse which includes but is not limited to:

n

- Leads and supports the team on the floor and ensures operational targets are met whilst focussing on getting the daily work completed safely, correctly and on time
n
- Champion occupational health and safety practices, promoting a culture of cleanliness and compliance within the warehouse.
n
- Perform manual handling tasks in a fast-paced environment, including forklift operation, loading/unloading of stock, and order picking/packing.
n
- Makes sure WHS, safety and warehouse procedures are followed including COR when loading and general warehouse upkeep.
n
- Communicates with management, customers, transport companies and other departments
n
- Oversees receiving, picking, packing, dispatch and storage and ensures stock levels and inventory records are accurate
n
- All inbound shipments are receipted accurately and in accordance with SLA
n




- Supervises the start-up procedures - unlocking and prestart checks on all operational equipment.
n
- High level of WMS knowledge, ensuring all data is entered in a timely manner
n
- Ensuring Warehouse efficiency is optimised while adhering to company standards
n
- Makes sure staff follow warehouse procedures and safety rules
n
- Problem solves with team and with Warehouse Manager

Knowledge and Skill requirements

n

n
- Proven work experience in 3PL environment as Team Leader
n
- Strong people and performance management experience
n
- Extensive experience of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
n
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
n
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
n
- Current Forklift license (High Reach) / Counterbalance forklift licence
n
- Knowledge of applicable OH&S; regulations.
n
- Experience with freight forwarding or 3PL operations is preferred but not essential.
