We're looking for an Experienced Maintenance Employee -Tree Maintenance to join our City Presentation team. In this role, you'lluse your arboriculture expertise and specialised equipment to maintainCouncil's trees and vegetation assets, helping to create safe, attractive andwell-maintained public spaces for our community

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Undertakeamenity tree and vegetation maintenance in accordance with industrystandards and Council requirements.
n
- Safelyoperate specialised plant and equipment including elevated work platforms,wood chippers, chainsaws, trucks and other maintenance equipment.
n
- Ensurework is completed to a high standard while complying with OccupationalHealth and Safety requirements and Council procedures.
n
- Assistacross maintenance operations where work priorities require andparticipate in emergency and overtime works when required.

- Provideguidance and support to other employees to assist with skill developmentand safe work practices.
n
- Maintainplant, tools and equipment and contribute to continuous improvementinitiatives across the team.

About You

n

You are an experienced arboriculture professional who takespride in delivering safe, high-quality work. You have strong practical skills,enjoy working outdoors and can work both independently and as part of a team. You understand the importance of customer service and safety and are committedto maintaining Council's tree assets to a high standard.

Key Selection Criteria

n

n
- Demonstratedexperience undertaking tree and vegetation maintenance, ideally within amunicipal, civil or similar environment.
n
- Soundknowledge of current arboriculture practices, industry standards andOccupational Health and Safety requirements.
n
- Provenability to safely operate specialised plant and equipment used in treemaintenance activities.
n
- Demonstratedcommitment to customer service, teamwork, continuous improvement andCouncil values.
n
- CurrentHeavy Rigid Vehicle Licence.
n
- ConstructionInduction (White Card).
n
- CurrentTraffic Control and Worksite Management Certificate, or willingness toobtain within the first three months of employment.
n
- ElevatedWork Platform Operator Certificate of Competency.
n
- CertificateII in ESI Powerline Vegetation Control.
n
- Currentqualification recognising competency to trim and cross-cut felled trees,or a higher qualification.
n




- Appropriatequalification and/or minimum three years' recognised experienceundertaking amenity tree and vegetation maintenance in accordance withAS4373-2007.
n
- CertificateIII Arboriculture.
n
- CurrentFirst Aid Certificate.
n
- Experienceworking for a Municipal Council or similar authority.
n
