An established Melbourne window furnishings business is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join its team, servicing residential & commercial clients across Melbourne.
The business supplies a broad range of custom-made internal and external window furnishing solutions and has a robust mix of residential, builder and commercial work.
This is a hands-on sales role suited to someone who understands window furnishings and enjoys managing the customer relationship from the initial consultation, accurate measure, through to quotation, customer follow up and order.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Attending pre-qualified customer appointments and in-home consultations
Discussing suitable window furnishing solutions with clients
Accurately measuring for manufacture and installation
Preparing professional quotations and following up opportunities
Developing relationships with existing and prospective customers
Working closely with administration, manufacturing and installation teams
Managing your own appointments and day-to-day schedule
While the primary focus is residential sales, there will also be opportunities to become involved with builder and commercial projects.
About You
We are particularly interested in applicants who already have experience within the window furnishings, blinds, curtains, awnings or related home improvement industries.
You will ideally have:
Previous sales experience in window furnishings or a related field
Sound measuring and quoting skills
Good product and practical knowledge
Strong communication and presentation skills
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
A professional and customer-focused approach
A current driver's license
White card or ability to obtain a white card
Working with children clearance or an ability to obtain it

This is an employed position with salary plus statutory superannuation, rather than a commission-only sales role.
The position offers considerable autonomy and flexibility, including the ability to work from a home office rather than reporting to an office each day.
