We're looking for an Experienced Maintenance Employee –Urban Parks Maintenance to join our City Presentation team. In this role,you'll help maintain and enhance Council's open spaces, parks and reservesthrough a range of turf, grass and horticultural maintenance activities thatkeep our municipality looking its best.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Undertaketurf, grass and open space maintenance across parks, reserves and otherCouncil-managed areas.
n
- Safelyoperate and maintain plant and equipment including ride-on mowers,tractors, brush cutters and other specialised maintenance equipment.
n
- Performgeneral horticultural maintenance and routine turf and grass mowingactivities.
n
- Assistacross maintenance operations throughout the municipality when workpriorities require.
n
- Ensureall works are completed safely and to Council's required servicestandards.
n
- Contributeto a culture of customer service, teamwork and continuous improvement.
n

About You
n
You are a motivated and reliable maintenance professionalwho enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You have experience in turf and grass maintenance, can operate a range of plantand equipment safely and effectively, and enjoy working as part of a team toachieve great outcomes for the community.
n
Key Selection Criteria
n
n
- Practicalexperience performing turf and grass maintenance for a Municipal Councilor similar-sized operation.
n
- Provenexperience in the safe and competent operation of plant and equipment usedin turf and grass maintenance.
n
- Soundknowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements and the abilityto follow policies, procedures and safe work practices.
n
- Demonstratedcommitment to customer service, teamwork, continuous improvement andCouncil values.
n
- CurrentMedium Rigid Vehicle Licence.
n
- ConstructionInduction (White Card).
n
- CurrentTraffic Control and Worksite Management Certificate.
n
- CurrentFarm Chemical User/Herbicide Application Certificate.
n
- Practicalexperience in turf and grass maintenance and/or general horticulturalmaintenance.
n
- CurrentFirst Aid Certificate.
n
- Experienceworking with a Municipal Council or similar authority. We encourageapplications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences,even if you don't meet every requirement.

Successful applicants will be required to apply for andsatisfactorily obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check andsuccessfully undertake a pre-employment medical check.
