Join a supportive and collaborative finance team based in Crows Nest/St Leonard's offering 1 days working from home + very close to public transport. This is a permanent Assistant Accountant chance, ideal for someone looking to build on their accounting foundations and grow their career within a stable organisation.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting with a broad range of accounting and finance duties. This role offers exposure across the finance function and the opportunity to develop your technical skills in a professional environment.

The responsibilities

n
- Oversea Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
n
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
n
- Complete allocated Balance Sheet Reconciliations
n




- Prepare and process journal entries to ensure accurate general ledger records
n
- Assist with supplier payments and maintain up-to-date accounts payable invoices
n
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
n
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial transactions
n
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
n
- Provide support during audit and tax engagements
n
- Perform general administrative duties to support the finance function
n

About you:

n

- Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant
n
- Good work ethic, fast-learner and keen to get stuck into the role!
n
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
n
- Either completed CPA/CA or working towards
n
