Competitive Pay
$40 - 45 an hour for the right person. Apprentice applications wages will reflect the apprenticeship. Wages can also be negotiated depending on your level of experience.
Work-Life Balance
Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections on vehicles and identify potential issues or areas of concern.
- Perform complex diagnostics to determine the cause of malfunctions or issues.
- Carry out repairs and replacements on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other components.
- Utilise specialised tools and equipment to efficiently troubleshoot and rectify issues.
- Adhere to manufacturer specifications and guidelines while conducting repairs and maintenance.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to less-experienced team members when necessary.
- Manage the everyday running of the workshop area and staff.
- Order parts when required and manage inventory.
- Answer phones and deal with customers, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Relevant certification or trade qualification.
- This role will require someone with a high level of trade experience working with heavy diesel engines and truck.
- Current Manual HR Licence and Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License.
- Own tools are required.
- Solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices within a workshop environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
