Enrolled Nurses (Taree or Port Macquarie)

Manning Support Services (MSS) is an award-winning community service organisation that has been operating on the NSW Mid North Coast for more than 40 years. MSS is a multi-service not-for-profit, with a mission to enhance the quality of people's lives by providing services which enable them to live with dignity and respect.

Due to continuing growth, MSS is looking for Enrolled Nurses to join our Clinical Care team, based in Taree or Port Macquarie. The positions are permanent part-time (between 16 and 36 hours per week to suit you), Monday to Friday.

n

In this role, you will provide health assessments and nursing care to aged care clients in their homes, within the plan of care, encouraging client independence and improving quality of life.

n

Tasks and responsibilities include:

n

- Delivering and coordinating patient-centred nursing care in collaboration with allied health and medical staff, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
n
- Medication management.
n
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation.
n
- Assisting in the evaluation of client progress towards service outcomes.
n

Selection Criteria

n

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in endorsed enrolled nursing.
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse Division 2 – Enrolled Nurse, to work without restrictions.
n
- Knowledge and understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
n
- Understanding of the Aged Care legislative framework and requirements, including protected medication administration.
n
- Minimum two (2) years Aged Care nursing experience as an Enrolled Nurse, medication endorsed, without restrictions.
n
- Wound care experience.
n




- Proven ability to conduct clinical assessments and reviews.
n
- Current full NSW driving licence and use of a suitable, reliable vehicle that has current NSW registration and third-party property damage insurance.
n
- Current CPR certificate.
n
- Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check or willing to get one at MSS's expense.
n
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment fitness assessment, arranged and paid for by MSS.
n
