The Site and FIFO

n

The operation is a large underground hard rock mine located in regional South Australia, approximately one hour's flight from Adelaide. Backed by a multi-year contract, the site provides a high-quality FIFO experience.

n

Site features include:

n

- Modern, well-appointed camp facilities including gym and wet mess
n
- Camp located close to the mine to minimise daily travel
n
- High-quality catering and food standards
n
- 2:2 roster - days, then nights, followed by 14 days off
n
- Interstate flights provided from major capital cities
n

n

Roster & Hours

n

n
- 2:2 roster consisting of 7 days, 7 nights, followed by 14 days off
n
- 12-hour shifts on a Wednesday-to-Wednesday swing
n
- Fly to site on Day -1 (Tuesday) and stay in camp prior to commencing day shift at 6:00am
n
- Fly home Wednesday morning at approximately 8:00am, with interstate connections arranged where required
n

The Role and Duties

n

As Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter, you'll work across workshops, underground service bays, and in the field,



leading a team while staying hands-on with a modern fleet.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Scheduled and preventative maintenance
n
- Repairs and fitting parts
n
- Attending breakdowns and fault diagnostics
n
- Providing technical support
n
- Ensuring safety compliance across all tasks
n

n

Your Value

n

You will hold a heavy vehicle/diesel fitting trade qualification, a valid Australian driver's licence, and bring current or recent experience in underground hard rock mining.

n

You will also bring:

n

n
- Experience in a leading hand / leadership experience in a mining capacity
n
- Exposure to drills, boggers, trucks and/or ground support equipment
n
- Ability to work effectively in both workshop and field environments
n
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work well with and lead others
n
- Capability across mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical fault finding
n
- A strong safety-first mindset and commitment to site protocols
n
