Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing Preston, Melbourne | Day or Afternoon Shift | $50–$55/hr

A rapidly growing food manufacturing business in Preston is looking to add a skilled Maintenance Fitter to its engineering team. With significant growth ahead, this is an opportunity to join a business investing heavily in its maintenance function and people.

We're looking for a strong, systems-oriented fitter with a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing background, solid GMP knowledge and experience using maintenance systems such as SAP or MEX.

The Role

n

n
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance across food production and packaging equipment
n
- Mechanical fault finding, repairs and troubleshooting
n
- Scheduled PM work, including Saturday PM opportunities
n
- Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement
n
- Recording maintenance activities through SAP, MEX or similar CMMS
n
- Working to high GMP,

About You

n

n
- Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter
n
- Strong mechanical breakdown and preventative maintenance experience
n
- Previous food, FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
n
- Robust understanding of GMP practices
n
- Comfortable using SAP, MEX or similar maintenance systems
n
- Systems-oriented with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement advantageous
n
- Proactive and reliable approach
n
