We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lifestyle Assistant to join our team. We are a not for profit organisation and provide a home for people requiring all levels of care. The organisation is highly regarded in the community.

As a Lifestyle Assistant you will use your skills for:

n

Developing, implementing and evaluation of leisure and social opportunities in conjunction with Lifestyle Coordinator, residents, families and other members of the healthcare team

n

Supporting our residents' personal, social and emotional well-being, through the planning and delivery of innovative and engaging activities including residents with dementia and individuals with challenging behaviours

n

Maintaining the quality of life of residents that takes into account their physical, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs

n

Nurturing individual interests, maintaining motivation and stimulation of residents through relevant activities and personal support, maintaining close relationships with families

n

A willingness to energetically involve yourself in activities and entertainment

n

Working collaboratively with clinical staff in providing guidance to Personal Care Assistants to ensure residents are encouraged to actively participate in activities of interest to them

n





Appropriate assessments including their life story or history that will form an integrated care plan

n

Coordinating outings that allow the residents to stay in communication and have meaningful relationships within their chosen community in a safe and healthy way

n

To be considered for this role you will have:

n

Certificate IV in Community Services (Leisure and Health) or prepared to undertake study to obtain qualification.

n

Ability to assess each resident's social and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual lifestyle programs to meet their needs

n

An understanding of the ageing process and caring for older people

n

Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, delegate and attend to multiple tasks

n

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

n

Ability to work autonomously and within a team setting

n

NDIS Check

n

Current Victorian Driver Licence

n
