- Initial contract: ASAP Start- 24/12/2026 + highly likely ongoing contract

About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Business Support Officer to join a supportive project administration team within a large Queensland Government Department.
n
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of business support functions, provide project admin support, coordinate travel arrangements, manage correspondence, maintain records and provide exceptional customer service.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Deliver efficient and high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Provide project administration support across various construction and maintenance upgrade projects.
n
- Coordinate travel bookings including flights, accommodation and vehicle hire.
n
- Manage incoming and outgoing email and phone correspondence.
n
- Maintain accurate records and update information systems, including Ellipse and Microsoft Office applications.
n
- Prepare and compile documents, reports, and registers with a high level of accuracy.
n
- Develop and maintain procedures, manuals,
and registers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Liaise effectively with industry representatives, suppliers and stakeholders to support service delivery outcomes.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
- Previous experience in administration/project administration/contract administration.
n
- Experience within government, construction, maintenance, insurance repairs or similar environments is highly regarded.
n
- Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
- Solid communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
n
- High attention to detail.
n
n
