An prospect exists for an experienced and motivated Emergency Department nurse to join the leadership team at Dandenong Hospital Emergency Department as the Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) - Equipment & Resource Portfolio on a 0.8EFT, fixed term basis until September 2027.

About our Department

n

Dandenong Emergency Department is a busy 24-hour service providing care to the diverse and rapidly growing communities of Melbourne's south-east. With 55 treatment spaces, including four resuscitation bays, a 20-bed Short Stay Unit, and a dedicated Fast Track area, the department manages a broad range of emergency presentations across medical, surgical, orthopaedic, mental health and paediatric specialties.

About the Role

n

This is a predominantly non-clinical leadership position responsible for overseeing equipment, resources and workforce systems across the Emergency Department.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Leading the procurement, maintenance, storage and inventory management of clinical equipment and supplies
n
- Leading the Emergency Department Equipment Team and driving quality improvement initiatives
n
- Providing expert advice and support regarding equipment, resources and operational processes
n
- Liaising with Biomedical Engineering, suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure equipment and resource requirements are met
n
- Supporting workforce management systems, including staff allocations, roster maintenance, UKG updates, shift swaps and roster auditing
n




- Working clinically within the ED department as required
n

About You

n

You are an experienced Emergency Department nurse with strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail and a passion for improving systems and supporting teams.

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- CNS Level or above
n
- Minimum four years' recent Emergency Department experience
n
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via Ahpra
n
- Advanced knowledge of Emergency Department equipment and resources
n
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and analytical skills
n

n

Experience in roster management, workforce systems, equipment procurement, stock control and inventory management will be highly regarded, as will postgraduate studies in leadership or management.
