CTKP is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic 1st Year Apprentice Roof Plumber to join our growing team in Geelong, VIC. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in the plumbing and roofing trades through a full time apprenticeship programme. You will be working alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your development and will provide you with comprehensive on-the-job training. This role offers the perfect foundation for a long-term career in the skilled trades.
What you'll be doing
Assisting qualified roof plumbers with the installation, repair and maintenance of roof plumbing systems
Learning to fit and install guttering, downpipes, flashings and other roof plumbing components
Carrying out site preparation and material handling tasks under supervision
Using and maintaining plumbing tools and equipment safely and correctly
Following health and safety procedures and regulations on all work sites
Attending block-release training and theory sessions as part of your apprenticeship
Assisting with site cleaning and ensuring work areas are left tidy and safe
Building your knowledge of building codes, plumbing standards and best practice techniques
What we're looking for
A genuine passion for working in the trades and a willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship
Good physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
A positive attitude and reliability, including punctuality and consistent attendance
Current or willingness to obtain a valid driver's licence
A genuine interest in roof plumbing and building trades careers
Preferably some experience in construction or manual work, though not essential
