As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and machinery for Banlay's operations. Working in our large workshop based in Dandenong VIC 3175, this full time role will see you troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of diesel-powered equipment to ensure maximum uptime and productivity.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on a range of heavy vehicles and plant equipment
n
- Diagnose and repair complex faults on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and electrical components
n
- Perform major component overhauls and rebuilds as required
n
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of work performed
n
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
n
- Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to optimise workshop operations
n

About you
n
n
- Formal trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
n
- Extensive experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and machinery,
ideally in a transport or construction environment
n
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently to identify and resolve complex faults
n
- Excellent knowledge of diesel engine technology, hydraulics, electrical systems and heavy vehicle components
n
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and maintaining a safe work environment
n
- Good communication skills to liaise with supervisors and coordinate workflow
