The Construction Project Manager will oversee the commercial, technical and quality management of assigned construction projects. The role will be responsible for project estimating, budgeting, procurement, project documentation, quality assurance and client management, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and external contractors to support the successful delivery of construction projects.

The Construction Project Manager will oversee the commercial, technical and quality management of assigned construction projects. The role will be responsible for project estimating, budgeting, procurement, project documentation, quality assurance and client management, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and external contractors to support the successful delivery of construction projects.

- Perform material take-offs from drawings and assist with project estimating and pricing.
n
- Prepare turnover and cash flow forecasts and monitor project budgets and costs.
n
- Prepare labour budgets and scopes of work.
n
- Conduct regular project review meetings and monitor labour hours and committed costs.
n
- Identify variations, prepare progress claims and submit variations in accordance with contractual requirements.
n
- Authorise project-related supplier and subcontractor invoices.
n
- Manage project documentation, correspondence and drawing revisions using Procore and client portals.
n




- Raise and manage requests for information (RFIs).
n
- Propose design and constructability changes and assist with work method plans.
n
- Assist with technical reports, defect management and corrective actions.
n
- Coordinate survey contractors and project survey/set-out requirements.
n
- Prepare subcontractor trade packages, obtain quotations and issue subcontract purchase orders.
n
- Purchase bulk and other project materials.
n
- Coordinate project quality assurance, including pre-pour and post-pour inspections and as-built documentation.
n
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, project engineers, contracts managers and site personnel.

- Ensure client communication is timely, qualified and courteous

Qualification & experience

n

n
- Commercial project management, including project budgets, cost control, cash flow forecasting, progress claims and variations.
n
- Project engineering, including project documentation, drawing revision management, RFIs, design and constructability changes, project specifications and technical reporting.
n
- Coordination of subcontractor trade packages, obtaining quotes and purchasing project materials.
n




- Project quality assurance, including pre-pour and post-pour inspections, defect management and as-built documentation.
n
- Use of construction project management and document control systems, including Procore and client-provided portals such as Aconex.
n
- Coordination with survey contractors, survey design models and project survey and set-out requirements using total stations and laser levels.
n
- Development and maintenance of professional working relationships with clients, project engineers, contracts managers, site managers, forepersons, subcontractors and suppliers.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage project correspondence and communicate professionally and courteously.
