Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) – Express Car Wash

We run a busy express exterior car wash in Thornbury, and we're looking for a mechanically minded person to help keep our equipment running and our site in top shape. Whether you're a hands-on tinkerer, a trades-adjacent problem solver, or someone with maintenance experience looking for flexible hours, we want to hear from you.

You'll work alongside our experienced maintenance tech, so you don't need to know car wash systems inside out on day one — but you do need to be practical, reliable, and genuinely good with your hands.

What you'll do
n
Inspect, troubleshoot and repair car wash equipment — tunnel and brush systems, conveyors, pumps and vacuums
n
Carry out routine preventive maintenance to keep everything running smoothly
n
Help install and upgrade equipment as we grow
n
Follow safety protocols and flag hazards early
n
Keep transparent records of work done using our maintenance systems
n
What we're after
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and a practical, problem-solving mindset
n
Comfort with pumps, hydraulics, water and basic electrical components
n
Ability to read and follow technical manuals
n
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work solo or in a team
n
Experience with car wash or industrial equipment is a bonus, not a dealbreaker
n
A technical trade or certification is a plus
n
