ENROLLED NURSE – PRIMARY CARE Pakenham Medical Clinic Location: 48 Main Street, Pakenham VIC 3810 Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing Hours: 38 ordinary hours per week, plus reasonable additional hours as required Salary: $79,800 per annum + superannuation About Pakenham Medical Clinic Pakenham Medical Clinic is a well-established and busy general medical practice providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare to individuals and families in Pakenham and surrounding communities. We are seeking a qualified, motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse (EN) to join our friendly and supportive clinical team on a full-time basis.

About the Role The Enrolled Nurse will work closely with our General Practitioners, nursing staff and other members of the practice team to provide high-quality nursing care within the employee's professional scope of practice.

n

Key Duties and Responsibilities

n

- Providing high-quality nursing care within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse;
n
- Assisting General Practitioners with patient consultations, examinations and clinical procedures;
n
- Performing treatment-room duties and assisting with clinical procedures;
n
- Undertaking wound assessment, dressing and ongoing wound management;
n
- Assisting with immunisations and vaccinations within the nurse's authorised scope of practice;
n
- Performing ECGs and other appropriate basic clinical assessments;
n
- Assisting General Practitioners with patient health assessments and chronic disease management;
n
- Supporting infection prevention and control procedures and maintaining appropriate clinical standards;
n
- Maintaining accurate,



timely and confidential clinical documentation and patient records;
n
- Providing patient education and health-promotion information;
n
- Monitoring patients and reporting relevant changes or clinical concerns to the supervising Registered Nurse and/or General Practitioner;
n
- Assisting with the productive day-to-day operation of the treatment room;
n
- Maintaining patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times; and
n
- Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, administrative staff and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

n

n
- A Diploma of Nursing or an equivalent recognised nursing qualification;
n
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through AHPRA;
n
- Appropriate clinical knowledge and skills to practise safely as an Enrolled Nurse;
n
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills;
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team;
n
- Good organisational and time-management skills;
n
- Commitment to patient-centred care and maintaining high professional and clinical standards; and
n
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical records and patient confidentiality.

Previous experience in general practice or primary care will be highly regarded. However, Enrolled Nurses with relevant clinical experience and a strong interest in developing their career in primary care are encouraged to apply.
