What you will do

n

As Senior Policy and Project Officer, you will support policy and project work in Justice Health. You will help improve health services for people in custody.

n

You will:

n

n
- identify emerging issues and develop practical options to support effective services
n
- prepare explicit briefs, reports and project documents for senior decision makers
n
- lead key project activities, including planning, risk management and delivery
n




- support timely responses to inquiries, commissions and regulatory bodies
n
- build positive working relationships across the department, government and community
n

n

About you

n

A suitable tertiary qualification or relevant experience in public policy, health or law would be well regarded. You should have experience in policy work and project management.

n

You should also have:

n

n
- strong policy knowledge and the ability to understand complex information
n
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical advice
n
- proven project management skills and the ability to meet tight timeframes
n
- clear communication skills and the ability to work through sensitive issues
n
