Sell Direct, the car-buying division of the Car Depot & EV Depot, is looking for an Automotive Buyer to join the team.

This role involves speaking with people considering selling their vehicle, building rapport quickly, understanding what motivates them and winning the chance to buy their car.

You'll need to be able to find common ground quickly, make people feel comfortable, and confidently explain why selling their vehicle to Sell Direct is the right choice.

Key responsibilities

- Managing both inbound and outbound enquiries and vehicle opportunities
- Speaking with customers looking to sell their cars
- Building rapport and trust quickly over the phone
- Following up leads consistently
- Negotiating vehicle purchases and working towards agreed buying targets
- Keeping conversations moving and overcoming objections
- Maintaining relationships with customers throughout the buying process
- Managing leads and follow-ups through the CRM
- Working closely with buying, sales and management teams

- Able to sell yourself and build trust quickly
- Great at finding common ground with different personalities

- Comfortable negotiating and asking for the deal

- Able to handle rejection and move onto the next opportunity

- Monday to Friday working week – no Saturdays
- 9:00am–5:00pm
