Woods & Co are working with a leading transport organisation who are looking for an experienced Fleet Recruitment Officer to join their team in Heatherton.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with recruitment experience and a strong understanding of the transport and logistics industry to take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and retention of their driver fleet.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Victorian Operations Manager, you will be responsible for attracting, assessing and onboarding suitable subcontractor drivers across a range of vehicle classes, from 1-tonne vehicles through to B-Doubles.

n

You'll work closely with the operations team while maintaining a strong candidate pipeline, ensuring compliance requirements are met and supporting the ongoing retention and growth of the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end recruitment of subcontractor drivers, from initial sourcing and screening through to onboarding.
n
- Advertise vacancies across SEEK, social media and other relevant platforms while maintaining a strong candidate pipeline.
n
- Coordinate pre-employment checks, compliance documentation, inductions and driver onboarding.
n
- Build strong relationships with existing drivers and support fleet retention and organic growth.
n
- Maintain accurate recruitment and fleet records,



reporting on enquiries, interviews, checks and new starters.

About You

n

n
- Previous recruitment experience, ideally within the transport, logistics or fleet environment.
n
- Solid understanding of transport operations and an ability to recruit across different driver classifications.
n
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and follow-up skills.
n
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes.
n
- Intermediate Excel, Word and Outlook skills, with a proactive and accountable approach.
n
