Safe Inspect is seeking a skilled Gasfitter/Maintenance Plumber to join our team in Geelong, Victoria. This full-time opportunity will see you play a vital role in maintaining and servicing residential and commercial properties in the local area and conducting Gas Safety Checks across the Geelong/Bellarine and Surf Coast regions.
What you'll be doing
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of plumbing systems and gas appliances
Carrying out Gas Safety Checks on residential properties
Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing and gas issues to identify and rectify the problem
Installing, testing and commissioning new plumbing and gas systems
Liaising with clients to understand their needs and provide high-quality, efficient service
Complying with all relevant safety standards and regulations
Maintaining detailed records and job reports
Supporting the broader team as required
Options for 24/7 callouts with extra incentives
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in plumbing and gasfitting, including a current plumbing licence and gas fitting licence
Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a qualified plumber, with a strong background in maintenance and repair work
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
Commitment to workplace safety and quality work standards
Clean driving record and reliable vehicle
