Dural North centre is a 76-place, purpose-built centre consisting of 3 rooms with a beautiful outdoor space. We care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years and are open from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

About the Role – Centre Chef
n
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Chef to join our team on a Thursday and Friday (2 days only).
n
This role plays an important part in supporting children's health, wellbeing, and development by providing nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe and hygienic environment.
n
Responsibilities include:
n
n
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
n
- Catering for individual dietary requirements, allergies,
cultural preferences, and medical needs.
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment.
n
- Ordering food and kitchen supplies and managing stock levels.
n
- Maintaining accurate food safety records and kitchen documentation.
n
- Supporting a positive, welcoming, and child-safe environment for all children and families.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will:
n
n
- Have full Australian working rights (e.g. citizen or permanent resident)
n
- Be available to work Thursday and Friday, with hours negotiable (approximately 7:30am – 2:00pm).
n
- Have previous cooking experience, preferably within an early childhood education and care setting.
n
- Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
n
- Have excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently in a busy workplace.
n
- Show initiative and work with minimal supervision.
n
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, infection control, and cross-contamination prevention
n
- Be a reliable and supportive team member
n
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
n
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety and appropriate workplace conduct.
n
- Uphold Fit Kidz's Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct at all times.
n
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
n
- Provide a minimum of two professional referees.
n
