Female Disability Support Worker – Personalised 1:1 Support

The Role

n

We are seeking Female Support Workers who are experienced in providing personalized 1:1 Supports to individuals living with physical disabilities. In this current role, you will be supporting a wonderful lady who lives with Huntington's. She resides in her own home and as a Support Worker, you will be supporting her with personal care, domestic assistance and accessing the community whilst respecting her dignity, choice and control.

You must be experienced in Medication, Manual handling, Complex Bowel Care and Micro Enemas

n

With a variety of shifts available each day between 8am and 11pm, a variety of shift patterns can be accommodated.

What You'll Do

n

n
- Support the participant with all daily living, including personal care, hygiene, and mobility.
n
- Assist with domestic duties like cleaning, meal prep, and shopping.
n
- Provide social and community access, including outings and appointments.
n
- Monitor medication (as per care plan and training.
n




- Maintain accurate notes and follow LifeFul policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications

n

n
- Ideally, you have supported someone with Huntington's in the past.
n
- You will have solid experience in supporting individuals with physical disabilities and understand safe manual handling, repositioning, and safety protocols.
n
- You will be experienced in Complex Bowel Care, Micro Enemas and Medication.
n
- Certificate III or above in Disability, Individual Support, or Community Services (or equivalent experience).
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
n
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates.
n
- Driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle (for community access).
n
- Completion of NDIS Worker modules.
n
