Job Description

This is a full-time role based in South Yarra, VIC, with travel to partner clinics and sites across metropolitan Melbourne and surrounds. This role is responsible for performing and reporting high-quality cardiac diagnostic studies across paediatric and adult patients, in both clinical and research settings.

As a mobile diagnostics provider, much of our work takes place at GP clinics, hospitals, and research sites outside South Yarra. You'll travel to these locations with portable equipment, so a current driver's licence and comfort working independently across a range of clinical environments are essential.

Key responsibilities

n

Perform paediatric and adult transthoracic echocardiograms

n

Conduct stress echocardiography and exercise stress testing

n

Fit, download, and analyse Holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and perform ECGs

n

Travel to partner clinics and sites, setting up and operating portable equipment on location

n

Produce accurate measurements, images, and preliminary reports for cardiologist review

n

Deliver trial-grade cardiac imaging to protocol for clinical research studies

n

Maintain image quality and work in line with current protocols and accreditation standards

n

Liaise with referring GPs, hospital staff, cardiologists, and research coordinators

n

Carry out equipment checks, infection control, and quality assurance processes

n

Support continuous improvement in clinical processes, and contribute to the mentoring of students and early-career sonographers in our in-practice program

About you

n





At least 3 years' full-time clinical experience as a qualified cardiac sonographer, including paediatric and adult echocardiography

n

Relevant qualification in cardiac sonography (e.g., accredited cardiac ultrasound degree or equivalent) and current professional registration (ASAR) or eligibility

n

Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites outside South Yarra

n

Experience in stress testing or research imaging is an advantage

n

Solid scanning technique with consistently high image quality and accurate reporting

n

Excellent communication skills, including clear patient instruction and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

n

Demonstrated commitment to clinical quality and patient safety

n

Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload

n

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
