Electrician / Leading Hand (Solar, Battery and Off-Grid)

Alliance Electrical is a Mullumbimby based electrical contractor working across the Northern Rivers, from Tweed down to Ballina. We cover residential, light commercial, and solar, battery and off-grid.

We have more work booked than our current team can cover. We are hiring at two levels: a leading hand who can run jobs, and a qualified electrician working toward that.

THE WORK

n

Current and upcoming work includes:

n

n
- New builds, full rough-in and fit-off, working to the builder's program
n
- Renovations and full rebuilds
n
- Large-scale off-grid installations
n
- Solar and battery installations, including retrofits
n
- Light commercial projects
n

n

We are SAA accredited for solar, Sigenergy specialists, and accredited installers for Tesla and Enphase. The crew that wires a renovation is the same crew that returns to install the battery, so you will work across all three areas rather than specialising in one.

All work is local. You will be home every night.

AS A LEADING HAND

n

n
- Running jobs from rough-in through to fit-off, to the builder's program
n
- Supervising and organising apprentices on site
n
- Ordering materials and managing supplier accounts
n
- Liaising with builders and clients on site, including variations
n
- Ensuring all work complies with AS/NZS 3000 and sites are kept safe and tidy
n

AS A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN

n

n




- Carrying out residential and light commercial work, rough-in through to fit-off
n
- Solar, battery and off-grid installations alongside our solar division
n
- Fault finding, service work and switchboard upgrades
n
- Working alongside apprentices and assisting their development
n
- Progressing to running your own jobs as your experience allows
n

WHAT WE NEED

n

n
- Current NSW electrical licence with Qualified Supervisor certificate
n
- Construction Induction card (White Card)
n
- Current driver's licence with a clean driving record
n
- Based in the Northern Rivers, or relocating to the area
n
- For the leading hand rate, proven experience running your own jobs and liaising with builders on site.
n
- Desirable, and we will fund these where required: SAA solar accreditation, battery (GCBS) and stand alone power systems (SPS), first aid and CPR, working at heights, EWP.

WHAT WE OFFER

n

n
- $42 to $50 per hour depending on experience and licences, plus 12% superannuation
n
- Performance based KPI bonuses in addition to the hourly rate
n
- Company vehicle and fuel card provided
n
- Work phone, power tools, consumables and PPE provided
n
- 38 ordinary hours, Monday to Friday, with a paid RDO accruing as you go
n
- Accreditations and training funded, with a transparent path to leading hand or supervisor
n
