Skills Required

- Customer service skills, patience and understanding of elders needs

- Flexibility to work a minimum of 3 days a week (Monday to Friday)

- School parent friendly hours

- Excellent communication skills - able to speak basic Greek or Italian

- Solid empathy and compassion towards others

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

n

As a Care Professional, you will be responsible for assisting clients with supporting elders in the community.

n

n
- 1.



Assist clients with maintaining a clean-living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
n
- 2. Promote independence among clients by encouraging them to participate in activities that enhance their physical and mental wellbeing.
n
- 3. Social support, taking people out for a coffee or lunch, or sitting and having a chat and cuppa at home
n
- 4. Establish positive relationships with clients through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their individual needs.
n
- 5. Maintain accurate records of client interactions including observations made during visits or shifts
n
- 6. Report any changes or concerns regarding the client's health or well-being promptly to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
n
- 7. Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations related to social care practices.
n

Qualifications

n

- 1. A valid Australian driver's license and access to a reliable registered vehicle and insurance
n
- 2. Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
