- Band 6 Salary from $48.78 to $53.11 per hour
- Permanent Part Time 30.4 hours per week

Making a difference

The Safety and Return to Work Officer is an operational delivery role within the People & Culture team, reporting to the Coordinator Health and Safety. Provide hands‑on coordination, administration and implementation support across return to work, workers compensation, injury management, health monitoring, incident support, compliance records and day‑to‑day safety and wellbeing activities. When there is active return to work or workers compensation activity, this work is the role’s highest operational priority.

The role supports the Coordinator Health and Safety’s strategic leadership of Council’s OHS Framework, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy, Return to Work governance, psychosocial risk response, incident governance, reporting and committee responsibilities. It does not own these frameworks or strategies; instead, it ensures agreed actions are progressed, records are maintained, stakeholders are followed up and operational matters are escalated in a timely way.
