Warehouse Storeperson / Trainee Machine Operator - Stainless Steel

Full-time — Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm — Pay based on experience

Most warehouse jobs are pick and pack. This one isn't.

n

You'll handle industrial stainless steel — operating forklifts, overhead cranes and CNC bandsaws. We'll train you to do it properly, and there's a clear path to grow from there.

About the role

n

This is a hands‐on warehouse position in our stainless steel distribution operation. You'll be involved in the day‐to‐day handling, preparation and despatch of steel bar — working with real industrial equipment in a specialised environment. The work requires care, accuracy and a genuine focus on safety.

Your duties will include:

n

- Receiving, checking and inspecting incoming stainless steel materials
n
- Picking and preparing customer orders to spec
n
- Packing, labelling and preparing materials for despatch
n
- Loading and unloading trucks
n
- Operating forklifts, overhead cranes and warehouse equipment
n
- Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
n
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
n
- Learning to operate saws and other specialised equipment as your skills develop
n

A forklift licence is a bonus, but not required. Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, steel, timber, machinery or trades is an advantage — but we're genuinely open to training the right person from scratch.
