About the Role

n

The Psychiatric Triage Service (PTS) provides a 24‐hour, seven‐day telephone assessment and response service, supporting access to Monash Health Mental Health Services.

n

This is an onsite role, operating from Monash Health's campuses.

n

The service:

n

n
- Supports adult consumers aged 18–64 years
n
- Provides after‐hours supportfor consumers under 18 and 65 years and older
n

n

As a PTS Clinician, you will:

n

n
- Undertake comprehensive preliminary mental health assessments
n
- Determinethe presence, urgency, and natureof mental health concerns
n
- Coordinatetimelyresponses by:
n
- Referring internally to specialist mental health services
n
- Linking consumers with external agencies
n
- Providingclinical advice, support, and risk management guidance
n

n

About You

n

You are an experienced mental health clinician with strong clinical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to work confidently in complex situations. You communicate effectively, build strong professional relationships, and contribute positively to team culture.

You bring:

n

n
- Extensive experience managing complex mental health presentations
n
- A strong working knowledge of mental health legislation, policy,



and evidence‐based practice
n
- Excellentorganisationaland decision‐making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
- A commitment to delivering recovery‐oriented, trauma‐informed care
n
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a supportive, multidisciplinary team
n

n

Qualifications & Registration

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- A relevant qualification(as outlined in the position description)
n
- A demonstrated commitment to working in mental health, including:
n
- Experience or understanding of Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)and Forensic Mental Health(highly regarded)
n
- Demonstrated experience in an inpatient unit or similar acute mental health setting
n
- Current AHPRA registration(where applicable)
n
